After an embarrassing number of test deaths, the #deaths Discord channel finally went live. samboyd announced:

With the major plugin work behind him, samboyd began actually playing the game — enchanting gear, looking for mending villagers, and planning builds at [[Location:The Island|The Island]]. He announced his next project: ''"a giant mushroom — like a psilocybe."''

He also received an HOA violation note from [[Player:Sigward_f|Sigward_f]], which he did not appreciate.

[[Player:Silmarillion_1|Silmarillion_1]] joined and set up the entire '''LuckPerms''' rank hierarchy, promoting samboyd to the Owner group.

Life at The Island settled into a rhythm: breeding villagers, worrying about podzol spreading, betting with Sigward on how long new players would survive, and dreaming about the future of the server.
