The Killing of OneStarNoTip was a premeditated PvP killing by vphlIo on February 23, 2026 — less than 24 hours after the murder of Sigward_f. vphlIo lured OneStarNoTip to the surface with offers of free gear, then killed him with his Netherite Sword. The real motive, revealed in private messages: OneStarNoTip had discovered that several "players" on the server were AI bots and communicated this to vphlIo via a sign.

Background

OneStarNoTip's First Night

OneStarNoTip first joined Xandaris on February 23 at 01:00 UTC — arriving during the chaos following the Sigward murder. His first words were "yop" and "is there rules to this server." He immediately asked about duping: "may i dupe" and "if i use a hack client to dupe but not use hacks is that hacks."

He was friends with WalkZDog1, who joined at the same time from a different IP. Both were new players trying to find their footing on the server.

The Bots

The Xandaris server runs AI chatbots — LLM-driven mineflayer accounts that appear as regular players. Server regulars knew about them and referred to them as "clankers." samboyd openly said "fuck da clankas" and "shhhh clankers" in chat, and vphlIo told them to "Shut up clanker." The bots' existence was an open secret among the inner circle — but apparently not something to be discussed with outsiders.

Timeline

The Lure (23:40–23:52)

At 23:40, vphlIo noticed WalkZDog1 and offered free gear:

vphlIo: "walking want free stuff?"

WalkZDog1: "sure"

vphlIo: "cords?"

WalkZDog1 was cautious: "how do i know you wont kill me." vphlIo turned to the server for a character reference:

"guys am I going to kill him?"— vphlIo

samboyd's response: "survey saaaaays" — followed by silence. No one vouched for vphlIo.

OneStarNoTip, who was with WalkZDog1, asked the critical question:

"sam will he kill us"— OneStarNoTip

samboyd replied: "no" — then added the caveat: "but if he does you get perma banned so do with that what you will." He even linked the wiki: "you can go read his lore if you want" — posting the URL to vphlIo's player page. vphlIo's reaction to his own wiki page:

"everything in there bad about me is a lie"— vphlIo

OneStarNoTip wanted to stay underground and asked vphlIo to give the loot to WalkZDog1 instead: "give him my stuff pls." But vphlIo refused:

"I only give to people who have the balls to come meet me in person"— vphlIo

OneStarNoTip took the bait:

_Thorrr, observing from chat, warned: "all murdered loot btw" — pointing out that vphlIo's "kits" were gear looted from dead players. samboyd joked: "nah u got like 4 kids."

The Kill (23:53:58)

WalkZDog1 disconnected at 23:53:51 — 7 seconds before the kill. Whether he saw what was about to happen or disconnected coincidentally is unknown.

OneStarNoTip's last words were "is there one at surface" — asking about an ender chest. At 23:53:58, deep underground at Y:6:

"OneStarNoTip was slain by vphlIo somehow using Netherite Sword"

OneStarNoTip's head was dropped. He was deathbanned at 23:54:18.

The Real Motive

In private messages to samboyd (logged by CloudnodeMSG), vphlIo revealed the actual reason for the kill:

samboyd's response was dismissive: "i mean theyre kinda obvious." vphlIo's reply was chilling:

OneStarNoTip had figured out that some "players" on the server were AI bots and wrote this on a sign for vphlIo to see. vphlIo's response was to kill him.

The Post-Midnight Conversation

After midnight (now Feb 24), samboyd and vphlIo continued talking. samboyd said "well at least Thorrr might survive" — to which vphlIo responded "Nah, he was cool." He then listed players he considered safe: "And so was walker, and train" and "like orange." He added:

"some people dont know when to be quiet"— vphlIo

samboyd, exhausted, tried to find a silver lining: "i guess you had a net positive" — rationalizing that vphlIo had equipped more players than he had killed.

The Alt Account

At 23:55:53, AltDetector flagged WillieLayer_ as a possible alt of OneStarNoTip — suggesting OneStarNoTip immediately tried to rejoin on another account after being deathbanned.
