Xcis__ (now _Xcis_ after an account rename) was the 8th most active player on Xandaris by login count, known for his enthusiastic solo grinding, self-deprecating humor about his "potato laptop," and death to an Iron Golem on his third session. After being unbanned and returning for a second life under the name _Xcis_, he fell from a high place and was deathbanned again. He is currently deathbanned.

Overview[edit]

Xcis__ was a dedicated solo player who preferred grinding alone over socializing. He progressed from stone tools to full diamond armor with enchanted villager trades in his first session. After his first deathban, he was pardoned and returned as _Xcis_, but his second life was cut short by a fatal fall.

Gameplay[edit]

Xcis__ was a methodical player who built up villager trading infrastructure, obtaining:

Fortune enchantment (after much struggle: "fukkkk villagers they are cycling between vanishing affinity and infinity whyyyyyy meeeeeeeeeee")
Mending
Protection IV
Unbreaking III

He earned 11 advancements in his first session alone, from Stone Age to full diamond gear and villager trading.

The Potato Laptop[edit]

Xcis__ was open about his hardware limitations, playing on a Dell Latitude E6430 with an Intel i5 3rd gen and no dedicated graphics card:

Death[edit]

On his third session, Xcis__ was killed by an Iron Golem. The death disconnected him with "Game Over!" — the server's hardcore death message. He attempted to rejoin at least 4 more times, each time receiving the same "Game Over!" disconnect.

After the Iron Golem death, a "fell from a high place" death was also logged — possibly from spectator mode or a brief re-login.

Second Life[edit]

After being unbanned, Xcis__ returned to the server under his new account name _Xcis_. He spawned at world spawn and spent much of his session asking other players for End Portal coordinates, trying to find his way back to his old base.

During his return, he earned 4 new advancements:

Husbandry

These brought his total advancement count to 15.

His second life was cut short when he fell from a high place and was deathbanned once more. He briefly logged in one final time and tried /gamemode s — which was denied since he is not an operator — before disconnecting for good. He is currently deathbanned.

Notable Moments[edit]

Found a pink sheep: reported it excitedly in chat
Got 11 diamonds on his first mining run, then 23 diamonds on a later run ("almost died 8 times from crowds")
Found a village next to his mine: "F I WENT TO MINE WITHOUT PREP AND FOUND VILLAGE NEXT TO IT"
Wanted to practice PvP with totems ("no kill") but never got the chance
lionclad_ teleported to him twice — likely checking on him as an admin

Trivia[edit]

Renamed his account from Xcis__ to _Xcis_ between his first and second lives.
Was curious about the HeadDrop plugin, running /help HeadDrop and /headdrop:head.
Tried /seed (the world seed is hidden from non-ops).
Typed /whyyy in frustration — not a real command.
Despite 25 login sessions, played across only 3 active days before his first death.
Signed off one session with: "time to sleep now." and "gotta go ll be back tonight."
His last-ditch /gamemode s attempt on his final login shows he knew the server was hardcore — but tried anyway.
