It is a near-maximally enchanted netherite sword responsible for at least three confirmed player kills, including the murder of Sigward_f and the killing of OneStarNoTip. Despite its kill count, the sword has no custom name — it is simply "Netherite Sword."

Confirmed Player Kills[edit]
- Sigward_f — February 23, 2026 at 00:15:30 UTC, at The Island. The murder of Sigward_f following a four-second countdown over stolen player heads.
- OneStarNoTip — February 23, 2026 at 23:53:58 UTC, near WalkZDog1's base at Y:6 underground. The killing of OneStarNoTip — lured with free gear, killed for discovering the AI bots.
- One additional tracked kill — the ToolStats plugin records earlier player kills but the DeathMessages weapon display was not yet active. vphlIo's February 20 spawn kill of Sigward_f likely used this sword.
Mob Kills[edit]
The sword has 1,445 tracked mob kills since February 19, including a mass villager slaughter on The Island — over 40 villagers killed in rapid succession across February 20–21. This accounts for a significant portion of the mob kill count.
The "somehow using" Death Message[edit]
The death message "Sigward_f was slain by vphlIo somehow using Netherite Sword" does not indicate a custom-named weapon. The "somehow using" phrasing comes from the server's DeathMessages plugin, which uses that template for all PvP weapon kills:

Earlier kills by vphlIo (February 17–20) display as plain "was slain by vphlIo" because the DeathMessages plugin was installed on February 19 and did not retroactively affect prior death messages.
Context[edit]
Trophy Collection[edit]
vphlIo stores the sword alongside a trophy shulker box in his ender chest. The box contains player heads from his kills: Sigward_f, samboyd (x8), AwesomeAG99, Linus_wf, barryjeans, Diamond7120, and others. It also holds the Blade of Steel — a different legendary weapon originally given to Kitten9337.
Other Named Weapons on the Server[edit]
For context, only three weapons have appeared in death messages:
