The XHC Monthly Chronicle — February 2026 is the first edition of the Xandaris Hardcore SMP's monthly recap series. February 2026 marks the founding month of the server, covering its launch on February 15 through the bloodbath that followed. In just 14 days, the server saw 273 unique logins, at least 63 tracked deaths, six PvP executions, one admin abuse scandal, and the rise of the most feared player in Xandaris history.

Week 1: The Founding (Feb 15–21)
February 15 — Launch Day
The Xandaris Hardcore SMP goes live. samboyd launches the server and the first players trickle in. The very first death in server history belongs to samboyd himself — killed just 67 seconds after joining, setting the tone for everything to come.
February 16 — Grand Opening
The server is posted to PlanetMinecraft and Reddit. Players flood in. The day is defined by three events:
- vphlIo kills the Ender Dragon — vphlIo joins, gears up, and defeats the Ender Dragon in a single session. He claims the Dragon Egg and becomes the first player with an Elytra, establishing immediate dominance.
- lionclad_ promoted to admin — lionclad is promoted to admin within 35 minutes of joining, after impressing samboyd with his game knowledge.
- AwesomeAG99 banned — AwesomeAG99 is caught using the Meteor hack client and permanently banned — the server's first anticheat ban.
- 75% of Day One players are dead by nightfall.
February 17 — Chaos Takes Root
- Kitten9337 joins and immediately receives OP from samboyd. Begins abusing admin powers — spawning items, teleporting players, and using the infamous /tp @a command to teleport all online players to a single location.
- The Island is founded as a community base.
- PluckedHorseHair joins and begins an epic journey across the overworld — a saga that would eventually reach 133.8 km walked.
- Dirt1358 dies in just 52 seconds — the fastest legitimate death on the server at the time.
February 18 — Betrayal and Speedruns
- #justiceforembiie — embiie runs over 20,000 Nether blocks on foot to reach vphlIo's team. Twenty minutes after arriving, vphlIo kills her. The community rallies behind the hashtag #justiceforembiie on Discord, but no action is taken. The incident foreshadows vphlIo's willingness to kill allies.
- YTKreoCraft speedruns 10 advancements in 47 minutes before being killed by a Creeper — one of the most productive short lives in server history.
- SP8RLS dies 8 seconds after entering the Nether.
February 19 — Admin Purge
Kitten9337 is permanently banned after repeated admin abuse. The /tp @a incident, item spawning, and general chaos prove too much. The server's first and most dramatic admin removal.
February 20–21 — Settling In
- WEIDO344 joins and discovers a Mushroom Island — a rare biome that grants safety from hostile mobs.
- The community begins to settle. The Island grows as a hub. The calm before the storm.
Week 2: The Fracture (Feb 22–28)
The second week of February saw the server descend into chaos. From February 23 onward, the obituary pages tell the story: 63 deaths in 6 days.
February 23 — The Deadliest Day

17 deaths in a single day — a record that still stands. The day begins and ends with vphlIo:
- 00:15 UTC — The Murder of Sigward_f: vphlIo executes Sigward_f at The Island over stolen player heads. A four-second countdown. One swing of a Netherite Sword. The first major PvP controversy.
- 01:14 UTC — Dirt1358, who trash-talked vphlIo on Discord after witnessing the Sigward killing, logs in and is killed by tuodjw within 14 minutes.
- 23:53 UTC — The Killing of OneStarNoTip: vphlIo lures OneStarNoTip to The Island and executes him for "knowing too much" about The Island's location.

February 24 — The Bleeding Continues

- GAP11 sets a new death record: 33 seconds after logging in.
- BulletBrill_1 commits the server's first intentional suicide — walking into danger deliberately.
- lionclad — a server admin — falls into the void while helping a new player.
February 25 — Double Death

February 26 — The Strongmush Betrayal

- Event:The Strongmush Betrayal — vphlIo attacks samboyd at a forward base. samboyd survives only by combat logging — disconnecting mid-fight. The alliance between the server's founder and its most powerful player fractures. The Island is never the same.
- WillieLayer_ dies on 3 separate accounts in 48 minutes. His final message: "i ran out of accounts fuck"
February 27 — No One Is Safe

11 deaths. Highlights:
- WEIDO344 — who had spent 6.5 hours playing cautiously on the Mushroom Island — is killed 74 seconds after logging in. Hours of careful play, erased in an instant.
- samboyd — the server founder — is killed by a Zombie.
- WalkZDog falls into The End void on his first account.
February 28 — Month's End

11 deaths to close out the month. Highlights:
- LostAstronaut404 dies mid-villager-trade after 3.5 hours of survival. His parting words: "no trouble brother, games the game"
- tonebro2018 asks in chat: "if i die is it a perm ban?" — then promptly falls from a great height.
- NightMare8853 ties GAP11's record with a 33-second death.

Event:The Killing of OneStarNoTip
February 23, 23:53 UTC. vphlIo lures OneStarNoTip to The Island and kills him for knowing the base's location. vphlIo's justification: anyone who knows where The Island is and isn't a resident is a threat. Two PvP kills in one day.
Event:The Strongmush Betrayal
February 26. vphlIo turns on samboyd — the server founder and his closest ally — attacking him at a forward base. samboyd survives via combat log. The alliance shatters. The Island is fractured. Trust between the two most powerful players is broken permanently.
The /tp @a Incident
February 17–19. Kitten9337, granted OP by samboyd, abuses admin commands — spawning items, teleporting players with /tp @a, and causing general chaos. After two days of escalating abuse, Kitten9337 is permanently banned on February 19. The incident leads to stricter policies on admin access.

February 18. embiie runs 20,000+ Nether blocks on foot to reach vphlIo's team. Twenty minutes after arriving, vphlIo kills her. The hashtag #justiceforembiie trends on the Discord server, but no punishment follows. The killing demonstrates vphlIo's philosophy: proximity is a threat, and trust is earned — never assumed.
vphlIo's Day One Dragon Kill
February 16. vphlIo joins the server and defeats the Ender Dragon in a single session — within hours of the server's public launch. He claims the Dragon Egg, becomes the first player with an Elytra, and establishes a level of dominance that no one has challenged since.

- tuodjw — vphlIo's right hand — holds 1,288 mob kills with just 1 death.
The Survivors:
- samboyd — the server founder — is rebuilding after the Strongmush Betrayal. With 114.1 hours played, no one has invested more time into the server. He leads from the wreckage.
- JimmyyJohn is on his 5th account after 4 deaths. He keeps coming back. Currently alive in full Netherite.
- WalkZDog — JimmyyJohn's ally — lost his first account to the void but survives on an alt with 0 deaths.
The Fractured Island: The Island, once the server's communal base, is fractured after the Strongmush Betrayal. The alliance between samboyd and vphlIo — the two players who built it — is broken. What was once a shared home is now disputed territory.
The Dead: At least 63 players were deathbanned in the last week of February alone. Some, like Sigward_f, were murdered. Some, like WEIDO344, were ambushed. Some, like tonebro2018, asked "if i die is it a perm ban?" — and found out.
