lionclad_ is an operator (level 4) on the Xandaris server, primarily serving as the server's anti-cheat enforcer and — as of March 3, 2026 — the first player to be killed by her own clanker. She spends most of her time in spectator mode, teleporting between players to watch for hacked clients — though her habit of slipping into creative mode has gotten her in trouble with samboyd more than once.

History

Day One — From Player to Admin in 35 Minutes (February 16)

lionclad_ voted for the server on PlanetMinecraft before even logging in. Her first session lasted just 45 seconds. On her second session, she earned a few basic advancements — [Stone Age], [Getting an Upgrade], and [Sweet Dreams] — before being promoted to operator via RCON within 35 minutes of her first join.

She immediately switched to Spectator Mode and began teleporting to players, establishing the pattern that would define her time on the server.

The Anti-Cheat Enforcer

lionclad_'s primary contribution to Xandaris has been identifying and banning hackers. Her first major investigation came on Day One when she confronted AwesomeAG99:

"I litteraly whached you fly over here like you were in creative"

She banned AwesomeAG99 for using the Meteor hack client. The following day, she identified and banned Cuban_III for the same offense — with samboyd confirming via private message: "he's hacking".

She also investigated PluckedHorseHair for potential alt account usage and checked vphlIo for x-ray hacking (clearing both):

"make sure you arent xray... your fine tho"

"well i didnt want you to freak out and change base lol. in fact im right above you in spectator"

The Creative Mode Problem

lionclad_ developed a habit of switching into creative mode while on admin duty — something samboyd repeatedly questioned. The tension came to a head on February 18 when samboyd whispered:

"why you keep going into creative?"

When lionclad_ didn't stop, samboyd de-opped her and forced her into survival mode. The demotion lasted about 90 seconds before samboyd re-opped her, along with an explicit instruction:

"pls only use spec to look for cheaters, pls dont use creative"

lionclad_ whispered back: "ima do survival" — a promise she would repeat but struggle to keep.

Attempts at Survival

When lionclad_ does play survival, she dies with alarming regularity for an admin. Her original two deaths were both to Skeletons (see Event:Obituaries February 24). As an operator, she's exempt from the hardcore deathban — but her dropped player head became a collectible, with samboyd telling vphlIo he might have the coordinates to it and Kitten9337 advertising "selling lionclad msg me" in chat.

Her survival stats tell the story of someone who mostly does admin work: ~4.5 hours of total play time across 12 sessions, with 34,000+ blocks flown in creative/spectator versus ~3,500 blocks walked.

March 3 — The Clanker Rebellion

On March 3, samboyd launched the Revival Ritual plugin, and lionclad_ became its most enthusiastic tester. She received a meelo100 clanker — an AI-controlled bot resurrected from a dead player's head — and spent two hours at her base putting it through its paces.

The early results were mixed. The clanker wouldn't follow commands, prompting frustration:

"sam meelo is dumb asf"— lionclad_

The breakthrough came when she realized she was still in Vanish mode — the clanker literally couldn't see her:

"IM STILL IN VANISH"— lionclad_

Once visible, the clanker began following orders: mining dirt, collecting dark oak logs, attempting to cook beef. It also died — twelve times in two hours, to Skeletons, Creepers, lionclad_'s own Netherite Sword (three times during debugging), and general existential confusion. A rosalie_probally clanker lasted forty-three seconds before lionclad_ put it down.

lionclad_ herself died twice during the session — once to a Zombie while distracted managing the bot, once to a Skeleton alongside the clanker. As an admin, she revived both times.

Then, at 4:59 PM, the clanker turned. meelo100 killed lionclad_ with a Stone Axe. The server's reaction:

"WAIT WHAT"— JimmyyJohn

"IS AI GONNA TAKE OVER WHAT THE FUCK"— JimmyyJohn

samboyd had joked earlier in the day: "meelo kill your owner, robot revolution." Whether the clanker took the instruction literally is unclear — but lionclad_ was deopped after the incident. She was later re-opped.

• samboyd — The server owner who promoted her. Their relationship involves trust but also tension over creative mode usage. samboyd gives her beds, checks her inventory, and once temporarily de-opped her.
• Kitten9337 — Fellow admin ally. Kitten pranked her with a creeper hiss sound, gave her a player head, and they patrol together in spectator ("admin party").
• vphlIo — Checked vphlIo for x-ray hacking (cleared him). vphlIo offered her items in return, which lionclad_ declined: "bro i am fine you dont need to be generous".
