February 26, 2026 claimed 9 players on Xandaris — and that's not counting the political crisis happening in the background. While vphlIo was attacking samboyd at a mushroom island base in what became The Strongmush Betrayal, nine other players were dying to mobs in every biome on the map.

The day's signature moment: one player died three times in 48 minutes across three alt accounts, each killed by a different mob — including once just 14 seconds after finding a Stronghold. His Discord message afterward: "i ran out of accounts fuck."

Skeletons claimed three. Creepers claimed two. Drowned and Zombies split the rest. Nobody survived longer than half an hour.

Notable Deaths

The WillieLayer_ Trilogy (4:20–5:08 PM)

The most extraordinary sequence in server history. One player. Three accounts. Three deaths. Forty-eight minutes.

WillieLayer_ — an alt of OneStarNoTip (later known as JimmyyJohn), who'd already died on a previous day — had been exploring deep in the negative coordinates. At 4:20 PM, he found what every hardcore player dreams of: a Stronghold. The [Eye Spy] advancement popped. He typed:

"W"— WillieLayer_

"Finally"— WillieLayer_

Fourteen seconds later, a Creeper detonated. WillieLayer_ was dead at Y:13, inside the Stronghold he'd just discovered. On Discord: "THAT CREEPER PULLED UP OUT OF NOWHERE" and "I SPENT ALL THAT FUCKING TIME GETTING TO THE STRONGHOLD JUST TO BE KILLED IMEDIATLY."

He created Meatyman121 four minutes later — "account number 3 lets go." Meatyman121 spawned near the world origin and immediately began trekking back toward his old territory, 15,000 blocks away. He found another player's dropped items along the way ("poor RedCommander fell off a cliff Lol"), earned five advancements including [Ice Bucket Challenge], and was chatting with WEIDO344 about a base he'd found 5,000 blocks out. He also declared, with the confidence of a man who'd just been exploded: "creepers are wors."

Twenty-seven minutes later, a Creeper blew him up on a mountainside.

On Discord: "HOLY FUCK" / "AGAIN" / "like i dont even hear them coming."

He created sciencekitty121 two minutes after that — "acc # 4" / "i love buying hacked accounts for 1$." This time he headed to spawn, met up with WEIDO344 who donated iron armor, and was making plans. Then a Drowned killed him near the spawn coast, 14 minutes in. His Discord message: "i was typing."

Final Discord message of the night: "i ran out of accounts fuck."

He did, in fact, create a fifth account — SoloToby (later renamed JimmyyJohn) — which survived.

Slim6y — Live-Narrating His Own Death (12:04 PM)

Slim6y joined during a night cycle and immediately knew something was wrong. His second message on the server:

"guys if you die do you get kicked?"— Slim6y

He didn't know the answer was permanent deathban. He found out by watching ValoareMC die seven minutes before him. His reaction:

"oh no"— Slim6y

"im gonna die oh shit"— Slim6y

What followed was five minutes of Slim6y narrating his own slow death in real time — underground, surrounded by skeletons, one hit from death:

"i was one shot"— Slim6y

"i joined at night too"— Slim6y

"so many skeletons"— Slim6y

His final message, typed while running through caves with no gear, no food, and no hope:

"i have nogthing"— Slim6y

A Skeleton shot him four seconds later. Thirteen minutes on the server. Twelve chat messages. Zero chance.

Arbiter1935 — Not Today (7:48 AM)

Arbiter1935 was doing everything right. In ten minutes he'd earned five advancements — stone tools, iron tools, a monster kill. He was deep in a cave at Y:43, fighting a Skeleton, when he raised his shield and blocked an arrow, earning the [Not Today, Thank You] advancement.

Eight seconds later, the same Skeleton shot him dead.

ValoareMC — Armed Zombie (11:57 AM)

ValoareMC's first action on the server was trying /gamemode creative. It didn't work. His first chat message was "why aint no one talking." He earned [Monster Hunter] before [Stone Age] — meaning he punched a hostile mob to death before mining a single block of cobblestone. Three minutes in, a Zombie wielding an Iron Sword cut him down underground. Armed Zombies are one of the rarer death causes on the server.

_cloudddd & hunt333666 — The Speed Deaths (1:23 AM / 5:20 AM)

_cloudddd lasted 31 seconds. Joined, walked 25 blocks, met a Zombie. No words. No advancements. No stone. Just a head on the ground.

hunt333666 lasted 1 minute 26 seconds. Said "yo," tried /tpa (doesn't exist on this server), probably looked at an Enderman, and learned why you don't look at Endermen.

The Strongmush Betrayal

While new players were dying to mobs, the server's political landscape was being reshaped. Earlier that day, vphlIo traveled to samboyd's mushroom island base and attacked him. samboyd combat-logged to survive. A rescue attempt on an alt account ended with a Drowned kill near spawn. vphlIo called in tuodjw as backup. samboyd escaped via a stasis pearl.
