PluckedHorseHair was one of the most controversial players in Xandaris history — a skilled and aggressive PvPer who killed at least three players (including samboyd), progressed at a suspicious pace, and was widely accused of using a hacked client. He died in the Nether on February 18, 2026, within one second of logging in.

History

Arrival & Immediate Suspicion (February 16)

PluckedHorseHair first joined on February 16 and was immediately flagged by AltDetector as a possible alt of BigBrotherMojang — a flag that triggered on every single login. He attributed this to VPN usage. lionclad_ confronted him directly:

"PluckedHorseHair are you using an alt? if you are you may tell me now and i will only ban the alt. if you lie i will ban both"

PluckedHorseHair denied it and was cleared. He immediately began probing the server — running /plugins at least a dozen times across his sessions and checking version info on CoreProtect, Vanish, HeadDrop, and other plugins. This reconnaissance pattern would continue throughout his time on the server.

Rapid Progression

PluckedHorseHair's advancement speed was extraordinary. Within his first ~5 hours of play, he had:

• Found a Nether Fortress and obtained Blaze Rods
• Visited all Nether biomes (completing the [Hot Tourist Destinations] challenge)
• Located a Stronghold and entered The End
• Found an End City and obtained an Elytra
• Acquired full Netherite armor ([Cover Me in Debris])
• Accumulated 17 Notch Apples (flagged as suspicious by Kitten9337)

When asked how long he'd been playing, he said "i joined yesterday — 6 or 7" hours. Asa_Akiraa claimed "horse hair has killed like 8 ppl" — PluckedHorseHair corrected: "no, only 3".

The Kill List

PluckedHorseHair's most notable kill was samboyd — the server owner himself. samboyd switched from creative to survival mode near PluckedHorseHair and was immediately slain. He later reflected:

"horsehair literally killed me and my entire team"

This kill, along with at least two others, cemented PluckedHorseHair's reputation as the server's primary villain.

Alliances & Schemes

Despite his reputation, PluckedHorseHair formed several alliances:

• AwesomeAG99 — Early teammate who shared coordinates and explored the End together. AwesomeAG99 was later banned for hacking (unrelated).
• Kitten9337 — Allied via private messages. Kitten asked "do you want to team?" and PluckedHorseHair responded "sure... ru an evil femboy or a good femboy?" They traded enchanted gear and shared intelligence.
• OrangeBubly — Offered to team and share Elytras. PluckedHorseHair was cautious: "why do u want to gift me so bad? sus" — then demanded proof via Discord screenshot before meeting up.

He also plotted against vphlIo, telling Kitten9337:

"we have to kill vph. he tried to kill me earlier, for no reason... he has full enchant netherite armor tho. we dont have enough stuff to kill him"

Meanwhile, vphlIo was running his own counter-operation, telling OrangeBubly: "go into the nether ima go kill plucker and then ill show you the new base".

Hacking Accusations

Multiple indicators pointed to PluckedHorseHair using a hacked client:

• Triggered 15+ "moved too quickly" warnings with Y-axis jumps of +100 to +200 blocks
• Flagged by Grim AntiCheat for NoSlow x30 (moving at full speed while using items)
• vphlIo reported: "I just watched plucks straight up hack btw"
• Kicked for floating too long four times while exploring End Cities
• Impossibly fast progression for a new player

Death in the Nether (February 18)

On February 18 at 23:45 UTC, PluckedHorseHair logged in at Y:180 in the Nether and died within one second — before even fully loading in. The death message was generic ("has died"), suggesting fall damage or a trap. His head was dropped and his ender chest was saved by the DeadEnderChest plugin.

The community's reaction was immediate and hostile:

• vphlIo via Discord: "Lol fucking plucker died what a fuCKING LOSER"
• Sigward_f: "fuck horsehair"
• samboyd: "horsehair was evil bro"

vphlIo later looted PluckedHorseHair's ender chest using the DeadEnderChest plugin and announced plans to "bring me back after I get the head of plucker so I can burn it".
