Meat_Mattress is a current server operator on Xandaris and an alt account of GigglyBall. He was promoted to operator by samboyd and died twice — once from falling and once from a Creeper — before being granted OP status. He bases in the far reaches of the map alongside samboyd's outpost on The Island.

Overview

Meat_Mattress logged in from the same IP address as GigglyBall (99.71.144.107), and was flagged by AltDetector on every single login. Unlike GigglyBall's chaotic death-and-pardon cycle, Meat_Mattress played more carefully and progressed further, earning the Cover Me in Debris challenge (full Netherite armor) and becoming a trusted part of the admin team.

Progression

Meat_Mattress progressed quickly with admin assistance. samboyd teleported him to base immediately on his first login. His 13 unique advancements include:

His first death was particularly unfortunate — he teleported to samboyd and fell to his death immediately. His head was dropped. After being pardoned, he rapid-fire reconnected 5 times in quick succession trying to get back in, spawning at different locations each time (including world spawn at 0,0).

His second and final death came from a Creeper explosion while mining deep underground near The Island. samboyd mentioned both deaths in chat: "we already lost meat_mattress and ansley" (Ansley being GigglyBall's nickname).

Operator Status

samboyd promoted Meat_Mattress to operator on his second day, following a progression:

1. Set to spectator mode for observation
2. Given creative mode
3. Granted full OP with /op Meat_Mattress

After receiving OP, Meat_Mattress immediately tested his powers — switching to creative, teleporting to samboyd, then testing chat visibility ("test... can anyone else see chat"). He later set himself back to survival mode.

Meat_Mattress was one of four operators alongside samboyd, lionclad_, and Asa_Akiraa. His promotion partially filled the gap left by Kitten9337's ban.

Nickname

Meat_Mattress attempted to set a gradient-colored nickname using hex codes, trying two different formatting approaches:

/nick &#F45454M&#F45454e&#F46553a...

The gradient went from red (#F45454) through orange to gold (#8FF49), applied letter by letter across "MeatMattress."

Clanker Testing (March 4)

Meat_Mattress's most recent session was spent testing the revival bot Gigglyballs at the benchmark spawn area. He revived Gigglyballs three times, testing its ability to follow, mine, craft, and build. He gave commands like "make a craft bench," "build a small house," and "dig to bedrock."

He discussed bot architecture with samboyd, comparing AI models and noting "$3 left babyyyy" — a reference to dwindling API costs. Before logging off, he remarked "it's clankers all the way down" and "Keep her entertained for me" — notably referring to Gigglyballs as "she."

Relationships

• samboyd — Admin and close ally. samboyd promoted him to operator and teleported him to base on first login. They discuss bot architecture and server development together.
• GigglyBall / Gigglyballs — His alt account. Also tested the Gigglyballs clanker (revival bot) during March 4 session, giving it tasks and referring to it as "she."

Trivia

• The AltDetector plugin flagged "Meat_Mattress may be an alt of GigglyBall" on literally every single login — sometimes multiple times per session.
• samboyd confirmed the connection in chat: "this was meat_mattress" (pointing at GigglyBall).
• Had "Failed to save player data" warnings in the server log on his first session.
• After his first death, his head was dropped — he warned the finder: "dont you do anything nasty with that head."
• Described being attacked by an invisible entity: "was invisible fuckin with us... gettin smacked around."
• Said "hell ye" upon first arriving at the base.
