LostAstronaut404's Trading Hall was a villager trading operation built by LostAstronaut404 over 3.5 hours of careful play on February 28, 2026. It is the site of one of the most memorable deaths in Xandaris history — LostAstronaut404 was killed by a Drowned while mid-deal with JimmyyJohn, earning the Surge Protector advancement at the exact moment of death as he shielded a villager from lightning.
Construction[edit]
LostAstronaut404 joined the server on February 28 and immediately set to work building a sustainable base. Over 3.5 hours, he earned 10 advancements, crafted iron gear, caught fish, and constructed a villager trading operation. He was one of the server's most socially active players during his session — chatting with newcomers, offering advice ("Gotta give to get"), and establishing trade relationships.
His most significant trade was with JimmyyJohn, exchanging mending books for diamond gear — one of the few peaceful economic transactions in the server's history.
Death[edit]
February 28, 2026 — 2:42 PM EST
LostAstronaut404 was standing at his trading hall when a Drowned walked up and killed him. At the exact moment of death, a thunderstorm triggered the Surge Protector advancement — he had protected a villager from a lightning strike as he died beside it.

His first concern was not for himself but for his villagers:

His farewell became one of the most quoted lines on the wiki:

When told that JimmyyJohn was on his 5th account, he replied: "What you need 5 accounts for bro." He left the server with: "lmk if you guys run another server soon, peace be apon you, always." samboyd eulogized him: "jesus pfp bro died for our sins."
Legacy[edit]
The trading hall's villagers survived their owner's death. LostAstronaut404's graceful exit — no rage, no blame, just "games the game" — stands in contrast to the server's usual response to death and has become a touchstone for sportsmanship on Xandaris.
