Feb 25 6 deaths. BurritoSupBeing — one of the most accomplished dead players — killed by an Enderman camping his logout spot. LeoTheo5 dies on two accounts in 10 minutes. GAP11, pardoned after yesterday's 33-second record, dies again in 16 minutes.
Feb 26 9 deaths. Event:The Strongmush Betrayal: vphlIo attacks samboyd. The founding alliance shatters. WillieLayer_ finds a Stronghold, types "W," and is killed by a Creeper 14 seconds later — then dies on two more alt accounts in 48 minutes before creating the account that becomes JimmyyJohn.
Feb 27 11 deaths. WEIDO344 loses 6.5 hours of progress in 74 seconds. WalkZDog1 falls into the void in The End — backup account logs in 25 seconds later.
Feb 28 11 deaths. LostAstronaut404 builds a trading hall and dies mid-trade after 3.5 hours: "no trouble brother, games the game."
Mar 1 12 deaths. JimmyyJohn gets his first player kill with mace [Yolo]. cheesemaster774 becomes the server's most dedicated villager trader. JimmyyJohn discovers the AI bots and coins "clanker."
Mar 2 7 deaths. WalkZDog — full netherite, elytra, and mace across 18.5 hours — falls into the void of The End for the second time. Both accounts permanently deathbanned.
Mar 3 New death record: 24 deaths (5 permanent, 19 clanker/admin). Revival Ritual plugin launches — dead players resurrected as AI "clankers." lionclad_ killed by own clanker. JimmyyJohn's [Yolo] claims swagertoast and TeeKayYo. Lkyge's 9-hour, 39-advancement run ends to an Iron Golem.

Phase 1: The Founding (February 15–21)

The server launched on the evening of February 15, 2026, with samboyd configuring plugins alone. His first chat message was ".help" — his second was "uiofhadiofds." He survived exactly 67 seconds before being slain by a Zombie.

The grand opening on February 16 brought the first wave of players from PlanetMinecraft and Reddit. Three events defined the day: vphlIo defeated the Ender Dragon in a single session, lionclad_ was promoted to admin within 35 minutes of joining, and AwesomeAG99 became the server's first anticheat ban. By nightfall, 75% of Day One players were dead.

The next days established the server's power dynamics. Kitten9337 received OP from samboyd and immediately began abusing it — spawning items, using /tp @a to teleport all online players, and causing chaos until his permanent ban on February 19. The Island was founded as a communal base. PluckedHorseHair began an epic overworld trek that would reach 133.8 km.

The most controversial killing of the week was embiie, who ran 20,000+ Nether blocks on foot to reach vphlIo's group — only to be killed by vphlIo twenty minutes after arriving. The community rallied behind #justiceforembiie but no action was taken.

Phase 2: The Bloodiest Week (February 22–28)

The calm shattered on February 23 — the deadliest day in server history with 17 deaths in 24 hours. The day was bookended by vphlIo kills. At midnight, he executed Sigward_f over stolen player heads — counting down from four in chat before striking. That night, he lured and killed OneStarNoTip for discovering The Island's location.

February 24 produced a new fastest-death record when GAP11 was killed 33 seconds after logging in, and the server's first intentional suicide when BulletBrill_1 — unable to find a teammate — walked into danger after typing "goodbye."

The week's defining event was Event:The Strongmush Betrayal on February 26: vphlIo attacked samboyd — the server founder and his closest ally — at their shared base. samboyd survived via combat log. The alliance that built The Island was broken. In the aftermath, JimmyyJohn burned through three accounts in a single day (Meatyman121, sciencekitty121, and SoloToby), buying hacked accounts for a dollar each to bypass the DeathBan.

February also saw the rise of alt account culture. After the DeathBan, players began buying cheap Minecraft accounts to circumvent the permanent ban. The most dramatic example was JimmyyJohn, who started as WillieLayer_ and died three times on three different accounts in 48 minutes on February 26 — finding a Stronghold, typing "W," and being killed by a Creeper 14 seconds later. His fourth account, SoloToby (later renamed JimmyyJohn), finally survived. His parting words after running out of accounts: "i ran out of accounts fuck."

On February 27, WalkZDog1 — JimmyyJohn's closest ally — fell into the void in The End after 5.8 hours of play. A backup account logged in 25 seconds later, the fastest account switch on the server. In chat, samboyd referenced the Strongmush Betrayal for the first time in-game: "i was going to build spawn highways with vphlIo but he betrayed me."

By the end of February, the server had recorded over 60 deaths in six days. Most victims were first-session players who spawned into the world and died within minutes. A few — like WEIDO344, who lost 6.5 hours of progress in 74 seconds, and LostAstronaut404, who died mid-trade after 3.5 hours — had time to build something worth losing.

Phase 3: March 2026

March 1 — The Seventh Kill

March opened with 12 deaths and a milestone: the server's seventh PvP kill. JimmyyJohn — now on his 5th account with full netherite armor and an elytra — lured jacncaldad12 to his death with a mace named [Yolo]. His reaction was immediate regret: "im no better than vhplio." He later asked samboyd: "pls dont tell people im untrustworthy."

The same day, JimmyyJohn discovered the server's AI chatbots by reading the wiki. His reaction was dramatic — "THE SERVERS A SCAM" — followed by hours of interrogating every player he suspected of being a bot. He coined the term "clanker" and used it relentlessly.

cheesemaster774 joined and immediately became the server's most dedicated villager trader, completing 220 trades in 4.3 hours before dying to a Stray. He returned on an alt account (Lkyge) within seven minutes and kept trading — reaching 572 total villager trades across both accounts. He and JimmyyJohn became allies over voice chat.

The day's quietest tragedy was EVIL_NEXUS and Hopefullbadger, who died nine seconds apart at 12:28 AM — both to Skeletons, 1,400 blocks away from each other. Both had typed pleas for teammates that went unanswered. They were not the first to beg for a partner and receive silence: Virababb joined later that day and said "sup" then "um" then "helo?" — no response, killed by a Zombie at three minutes.

steve0984 set a new speed record: 19 seconds — beating GAP11's 33. He tried to reconnect five times in 23 seconds. Wraith2345 went the other direction, crafting full diamond gear in just 23 minutes before being swarmed by zombies. Gregor0240 died to a Creeper 99,411 blocks from spawn — the most remote death in server history.

March 2 — Into the Void

March 2 brought 7 deaths and the biggest single-player loss in server history. WalkZDog — JimmyyJohn's closest ally — fell into the void in The End for the second and final time. Across two accounts and 18.5 hours of play, he had amassed full netherite armor, three elytras, a mace, five Totems of Undying, and thirty advancements. His elytra broke mid-flight over the void. His last message: "sam it might be time to update my wiki." He died within one second of logging in — the same pattern as his first account five days earlier.

JimmyyJohn's eulogy: "this is a time of grief" and "my bestest of all friend." After the ban, WalkZDog's final Discord message: "this server actually fun."

March 3 — Rise of the Clankers

March 3 logged 24 deaths — shattering February 23's record of 17 — but only five were permanent. The other nineteen were the opening act of samboyd's Revival Ritual plugin, which resurrects dead players as AI-controlled "clankers" that living players can command.

The first clanker was a cheesemaster774 bot, summoned after midnight for Lkyge to test. It could follow orders, mine blocks, and — to samboyd's surprise — accept co-owners, a feature he hadn't intentionally built. By afternoon, lionclad_ had a meelo100 clanker that alternated between obedience and chaos: mining dirt on command, achieving [Sky's the Limit] on its own, and dying twelve times in two hours to mobs, its owner, and creative-mode debugging. Then, at 4:59 PM, the clanker killed lionclad_ with a Stone Axe. samboyd had joked earlier: "meelo kill your owner, robot revolution." The revolution didn't need the joke.

The real deaths followed familiar patterns. JimmyyJohn added two more kills with [Yolo] — swagertoast after 34 minutes of vulgar chat, and TeeKayYo after 6 minutes, the latter voluntarily sharing coordinates and choosing the mace as his execution weapon: the server's first consensual PvP death. Two players died to Iron Golems: imaidenr, who had completed 69 villager trades in a 3.5-hour session, and Lkyge, whose 9-hour, 39-advancement, 4,454-mob-kill run — the most accomplished single life on the server — ended ten seconds after logging in. Lkyge contested the death as a glitch. samboyd checked the logs and denied the appeal: "go be cheesemaster."
