[Yolo] is a mace wielded by JimmyyJohn and the deadliest named weapon on the Xandaris server. Found in a trial chamber on March 1, 2026, it has killed three players in three days — all of whom had been on the server less than an hour.

The name was chosen for the server itself:

"cuz is hardcore"— JimmyyJohn

Origin

JimmyyJohn found the mace in a trial chamber during the early hours of March 1. His reaction was immediate:

"yay"— JimmyyJohn

"i got op mace"— JimmyyJohn

He considered naming it "youjustlost" — "thats a tuff name" — but settled on [Yolo] instead. Later that same day, he found a second mace in another trial chamber at 3:33 PM: "i got a second mac." cheesemaster774 asked for it. JimmyyJohn said no.

He wanted to enchant one with Wind Burst or Density but never found the books:

"anyone got wind burst or density booc"— JimmyyJohn

Kill List

# Date Victim Time on Server Context
1 March 1 jacncaldad12 ~15 min Lured to coordinates with promise of loot. Called JimmyyJohn "the goat" seconds before death.
2 March 3 swagertoast 34 min Killed for vulgar chat and attempted carting. "he tried carting me."
3 March 3 TeeKayYo 6 min First consensual PvP death on the server. TeeKayYo broadcast his own coordinates and chose the mace when offered a weapon.

All three kills produce the same death message:

[Player] was slain by JimmyyJohn somehow using [Yolo]

The "somehow" is Minecraft's default text for mace kills — an unintentionally fitting epitaph for a weapon whose victims never saw it coming, except the one who asked for it.

Notable Moments

Kill #1 — jacncaldad12 (March 1)

JimmyyJohn's first-ever player kill. He messaged Lkyge privately beforehand — "im bout to kill this kid" and "my first blood" — then added "for the lore."

jacncaldad12 had posted his coordinates in public chat and asked for loot. JimmyyJohn flew to him, chatted for several minutes, and struck. The regret was immediate:

"im no better than vhplio"— JimmyyJohn

"im sorry.. it was for the lore"— JimmyyJohn

"im not built for killing. i feel bof"— JimmyyJohn

Kill #2 — swagertoast (March 3)

The guilt from Kill #1 did not survive to Kill #2. swagertoast spent his 34 minutes on the server pushing every boundary in chat that had nothing to do with Minecraft. JimmyyJohn's justification was one sentence:

"he tried carting me"— JimmyyJohn

Kill #3 — TeeKayYo (March 3)

The only [Yolo] victim who chose his fate. TeeKayYo logged in, asked if the server was anarchy, learned hacks were banned ("booooooo"), and six minutes later broadcast his own coordinates as a free kill. When JimmyyJohn arrived, TeeKayYo was given a choice of weapon.

"mace"— TeeKayYo

The server's first fully consensual PvP death. TeeKayYo never mined a diamond.

Trivia

  • JimmyyJohn's first name idea for the mace was "youjustlost."
  • He found a second mace the same day. It remains unnamed and unused for PvP.
  • All three victims had been on the server less than an hour. The combined playtime of everyone killed by [Yolo] is approximately 55 minutes.
  • The mace accounts for 3 of the server's 23 total player kills — more than any other single weapon.
  • WalkZDog commented on the first kill: "full netherite and mace before going to nether is crazy" — noting JimmyyJohn obtained the mace from a trial chamber without ever entering the Nether on that account.
  • JimmyyJohn went from "im not built for killing" after Kill #1 to a wordless execution two days later. The guilt arc lasted exactly one victim.
